R	Ron Ervine on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply Stunning ! Travel a fair bit with work and always enjoy my meals at Rustic Cafe and Restaurant. A real asset to Gore and a hidden gem indeed. Have tried many places whilst traveling the lower south island and this would easily be the best. Friendly owners and staff who have a real passion for what the do. The setting is something you simply wouldnt expect to see in Gore - Southland with a tasteful well set out decor that is first class. Food is something else, always consistently amazing and good sized portions. Desserts are a treat too. Always dine here when down this way. Keep up the amazing work guys !

When my meal arrived I couldn’t believe my eyes at the size of the oysters. It would have taken 3 of them to make up one oyster the size of what are in your add and to be charged $60 for my meal was just ridiculous. The whole evening was just one error after another and as I realised you were training new staff I didn’t want to upset them by complaining. I know it is tough times at the moment but I feel last evening you really let your usual standards down as we have had some lovely dining experiences at Rustic. Regards Carolynn Robertson
