★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have visited this place 3-4 times for the weekend buffet. We live in Auckland Central; otherwise, we definitely would visit more often. If one ever missed authentic S. Indian food while living in NZ, then the weekend buffet at Saffron truly is a dream come true. The food is as tasty and authentic as what we grew up on in S. India. The range is vast and includes everybody's fav dish. Especially during the pandemic, Saffron has been a go-to destination for those like us who crave for S. Indian 'home-away-from-home' cuisine. Thank you, Saffron!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t write many reviews but could not stop my self today. Just visited this place for a dinner with wife, the food was next level. Everything was so good beyond expectations. Highly recommend if you love authentic South Indian food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love this place! Their buffet is top notch. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. The food is great, and the price is perfect. The ambience is lovely, and comfortable for long chats and leisurely lunches. I can't recommend this place enough ??
We went there again today. Saffron Indian Restaurant consistently delivers a top notch South Indian brunch buffet ?? Their food is always fresh, healthy, and very tasty, oh and it's unlimited! What more do you want?
We have been enjoying their food for the past decade, and they never disappoint

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star rating because vegitable pakora was very bitter in taste and was looking black in color from outside and when I tell the same to staff working there she discussed with chef and chef tell her it's perfect and no problem with vegitable pakora, but I appreciate staff effort, she asked me to choose any other side and then I choose onion bhaji and it was best onion bhaji I have ever had, but I already requested her don't make onion bhaji black as it give better taste like pakora and she pass my msg to chef and it was very yummy. I want to post it on saffron website with picture of vegitable pakora and onion bhaji but that's showing error there and thank to Google where I can share my post with everyone . I am taking time out to post it just because I want to aware people who really craving for something good but can get opposite to it too. If I have option to choose star rating for service then it's definitely 5start but food rating 1 star is only for vegitable pakora and 5start for onion bhaji.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a good restaurant before but the quality now is really concerning. Today I went for dine in to this place and the water bottle I got full of fungus and I was literally vomitted after I drank some :( While I went to the washroom I had a glimpse inside the kitchen, seriously, It was terrible inside, it wasn't higenic at all.
If you are a person who really consider quality and higenic food, please don't go near to this restaurant.
As we had a really bad experience today, I won't come here anymore. I really don't want to spoil my stomach!
Their closing time is 10pm, in a different occasion I was there around 9.27pm but they informed me they are already closed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the food was good, the hygiene was really a matter of concern. Especially in the COVID situation. Couldn’t imagine that such levels of unhygienic rest rooms would prevail in Auckland and wouldn’t be noticed by the Auckland Council Staff. Does not puts a very good impression.
