An absolutely fabulous 4 days of serenity and bliss with this experience. The house in the treetops is cosy and very comfortable , not to mention well equipped and the I I g on the cake …. A nice hot spa on the deck. The cruise was wonderful, Russell knows his stuff and correctly predicted the best day Togo and best way to make the most of the day. Lunch was delicious and the boat is lovely. Completely fell in love with Woody! ( the canine captain) ? Four days of complete R and R . Thankyou so much Russell , Karen, Woody and Kiss!!! Just magic .

Amazing holiday package, our family had the best time. Great layout to accomodate family and friends, our mid-Winter stay was perfect - rainy days spent at home in a relaxing spa. Fine weather days we were close to all activities in Paihia and the inclusion of a sailing day was the cherry on top. The kids enjoyed sailing with dolphins and fishing, the adults enjoyed the restaurant quality food. Russ was definitely the host with the most and we are already planning our return trip.

Russell and Karen were perfect hosts for 3 day in BOI. Their relaxed and flexible approach to the needs of our group were greatly appreciated. Given that my wife is 6months pregnant and we had concerns about the humidity and heat, they ensured we were comfortable at all times. The yacht is spacious with plenty of comfy options for our group of 4. The locations we visited offered a fantastic range of activities, or not, depending on the mood of the group. Swimming, trails walks, kayaks and sunbathing were all available to us. We even enjoyed a little fishing on one of the drizzly days. The meals were all brilliant and well prepared. Timing of the services are suited to life on the boat, an evening meal followed by a drink at sunset was the perfect way to end each day on the yacht and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the bed. The sailing was exciting and our Skipper showed a decades experience in his yacht on the water, though both Russell and Karen were responsive and considerate with their approach. The comfort of the group was their first concern, before the capability of the yacht. We would highly recommend this trip to small groups of any age. Karen and Russell are outgoing and sociable people and certainly added value to our holiday - we especially enjoyed sharing our final evening meal with them and getting to know them a little more. All in all an incredible experience and memories we will cherish for life!

MAGICAL 3 DAYS SAILING THE ISLANDS The 4 of us were lucky enough to spend 3 nights sailing the bay of islands with Karen + Russell. We loved every minute of this experience + could not fault a thing. We were catered for each day with delicious restaurant quality meals prepared by Russell, along with scenic spots for swimming, recommendations for beautiful walks, exploring on brand new kayaks + we even had time for a spot of fishing. The boat was spacious, with comfortable beds + our hosts had every last detail sorted. Morning coffees, fresh towels + great stories that made us feel very welcome on their boat. This overnight experience had a bit of everything + we couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you to our wonderful hosts - we will be back for more!

I cannot say enough about how amazing this trip was! Not only great accommodation to relax for a few days, but an incredible trip around the Bay of Islands. The catering was exceptional and even handled our quite specific dietary constraints. Overall one of the best holidays I've had in a long time and very close to home! Russell & Karen are great hosts, and we even got in a little fishing on the way home!

Bay of Islands Sailing Cruise plus Treetop Accommodation Very personalised experience! Accommodation is in a very natural setting, with privacy and luxuries such as a spa pool, fully equipped kitchen, large TV with all the apps you'd need. The WiFi signal is also pretty strong, especially given the location. The cruise was the highlight of our stay, and the hosts, Russell and Karen, made us feel welcome and special. We enjoyed the sights and island hopping, combined with some fishing. The gourmet lunch prepared by master chef Russell was top notch. We highly recommend, and have already recommended this experience to our friends.

The best way to end the year! We ( 2 couples) had an amazing 3 full days of fun and good food. Captain Russel is such an amazing chef and host! I bet you cannot find better food in Paihia then his home(yacht)-cook-food! We were sailing around Bay of Island, hopping on and off the island, kayaking , diving, sunbathing, wakeboarding, scuba diving ... the fun is endless! Russel and Karen knows the ins and outs of the area and of sailing. They are always there to answer your million questions but at the same time give you all the privacy and space you need. Chartered the Sunkiss for a 3-day cruise starting New Year's Eve. My family and I had a wonderful time during the yachting trip, and enjoyed the food/swimming/sailing/sunbathing all over the Bay of Islands. Russell and Karen were stellar hosts and we are trying to plan the next time we can "borrow" their boat.
