A happy ferry as the name suggests. Saw dolphins swim round the boat as we left Russell today, magic! What a great start to the day.

A nice trip across to Russel for only $12.50 return. Departures are hourly so timing may be important, but there's plenty to do in Paihia while waiting, like the Marlin statue, countless cafes and ice cream stores and a lively market a short walk away.

Great ferry service from Paihia to Russell. Our Captain, Wolfgang, was really friendly! We rode out in the little captain's cabin, and back on the front deck. Lovely views across the bay and a great way to watch the parasailing and other boats as they charter about the islands. Saw diving ganets alongside the boat!

a very nice place to visit. . we were here in 2007, a boat is what you have to do here. dolphins along the boat. a lunch on an island. is special. i loved it .. just do it.. The Bay of Islands is a New Zealand enclave encompassing more than 140 subtropical islands next to the country's North Island. It’s known for its undeveloped beaches, big-game fishing and Maori cultural artefacts. It's also home to the 19th-century whaling port of Russell, whose waterfront promenade is lined with remnants from its days as the country’s first colonial capital.

This was a great way to spend an afternoon in Bay of Islands. Took a ferry from Paihia to Russel, go to the museum, stroll along the beach, walk up to Flagstaff Hill and back to Paihia via ferry. I watched people catching fish, as I admired the sunset. It was dark by the time I took the return ferry. But this was equally enchanting. Went up to the rooftop to immerse myself in the star-filled sky. Highly recommend!

Beautiful trip from Paihia to Russell. This trip was fantastic and provided me with some scenic views over this short trip. The staff members are friendly and helpful from the start till the end. They provide you information off the beautiful area and the history of Russell or Paihia. It is perfect for your friends and family and for the young and old. So for now I really recommend this beautiful trip.
