The venue is entirely carried by the location and being on the Marina. This along with the aesthetic gives you the impression it will be a great experience and justifies the pricing initially. Unfortunately the service was extremely poor, long wait times and drinks/food which never came until they were reminded. The food was very poor quality, plain boiled vegetables and plain chicken in a watery sauce. I wouldn’t go back for anything other than a drink outside, but even then you may be waiting a while for a drink. This sort of restaurant only survives because of the lack of competition in a small town, it’s a shame because a few small tweaks could make this a real gem.

Another great meal in a world class setting with fantastic service from all the staff. We had drinks in our hands within minutes of sitting down. When we could we were avid travellers and really believe one would find it very hard to find a better view and ambience while dining.

Fabulous location but somewhat disappointing as far as service was concerned. Staff lacked appropriate customer service interaction - initially staff were quite adversarial. I expected the staff of a restaurant of such a high calibre to have appropriate customer service , to be able to adapt the menu to a small request to swap bread for fries and not to muddle orders on two items. Food was nice but I wouldn’t be rushing back.

Not a very welcoming experience. Must be because we were islanders. Just wanted to feed a family but no exception because all the tables were available. Unfortunately a bad experience but hopefully they can do better than turning customers away.

Beautiful place. Looks classy, but it ain’t. We arrived at 4.55pm for our 5pm booking but place was closed. We awkwardly waited outside before they finally let us in at 5.05pm. We ordered their signature Salt seafood platter as it looked delicious on the menu. However on arrival, the mussels were missing which was concerning as it was listed as a platter item. The waiter told us they ran out - a disappointment as we were the first customers to order. The platter was simply a deep fried seafood basket. We then ordered two specific glasses of Chardonnay off the menu which didn’t taste quite like what we expected. So we asked if they were actually the wine we ordered, and as proof the waiter decided to show us the receipt. However when we asked for the bottle, it was a completely different wine. Basically they decided to substitute the wine we ordered because they ran out (without telling us). A foolish mistake to make as it is our favourite wine. When we paid, we asked the manager for the wines to be refunded, but because she didn’t know how to process refunds, she offered us a 10% discount off the wines. If a customer orders something and it’s not available, at least have the decency to say you’ve β€œrun out”. Because supplying it without, or substituting and pretending it’s something else is not acceptable on any level.

Beautiful location overlooking the marina. Arrived at 1655 for our booking at 1700 and doors were closed with a sign saying not seating guests now, we googled thinking it was actually shut... Doors opened at 1705. Ordered the seafood platter. No mussels came with the signature platter despite being on the menu. When we asked the waiter they said that they were out of mussels - that's cool but would have been nice to know before ordering (we were the first customers), we would have ordered something else. Ordered a specific wine from the menu, didn't taste like it should, asked a waitress to double check, who said it was indeed what we had ordered. When I then asked to see the bottle, what a suprise, it was a different wine... Didn't appreciate needing to ask to see the bottle to get the truth. Manager eventually discounted 10% off all our wines but not really a great look. Oysters were good but a bit small. The "Salt Platter" was basically just a fried seafood basket with oysters. Wine pours were generous, however wouldn't hurry back.

What a spot, (fantastic weather always helps), right on the marina. I had the battered jumbo prawns - delicious - and the ceviche - which would've been delicious but for, what I considered to be an over-exuberance of baby coriander (which incidentally, is far more hideous than the adult version). My fault entirely of course, there it was on the menu, I just stopped reading at ceviche.

We went down to Salt for a few cocktails on a Friday afternoon. They were good. Great taste and excellent presentation ?? although they were a little expensiveand small glasses. We did also order bread and hummus and were not that impressed by that either. For $20 we received 2 very skinny slices of bread and a bit of hummus and some olives. ...... felt ripped off at that so left after our drinks. First and last time there for us. On a positive note it was in an awesome setting down by the marina
