★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightful! We pre-ordered takeaways and we’re a bit dubious they would have it ready in time on a busy Saturday night but no fear - ready and waiting!
We ordered prawn dumplings, bao buns and beef rendang and everything was absolutely delicious- the rendang was up there with any I’ve had- can see why this place is a favourite.
Well done Blue Ginger team- we’ll be back and hopefully secure a coveted seat to eat in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called to book a table and was told they don't make bookings. 'You come and ask for a table...if it's too busy you'll have to wait around 30 min'. We went anyway and got a table outside. Not a problem. We ordered Pad Thai and Pork Belly...more expensive then the average Thai restaurants. Beer? They don't sell it... anyway... they also close at 8pm. Crazy, right? But the food is amazing, fresh and probably the best Thai food in NZ. They are allowed to be fussy. My Pad Thai had some pieces of egg shell...I told the manager and asked him to have a look...he didn't even want to check it out and provided another plate quickly. Staff is competent and super friendly. We loved the experience! Highly recommended. But many people know that already.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most incredible food. I had the pork belly; each vegetable was cooked to perfection and the whole dish was immensely satisfying. A bit of a wait for service but the staff were incredibly kind and polite. One of the best places to eat in the Coromandel without a doubt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to eat here for my birthday, and the staff was pretty friendly and gave us good service, but I feel like the meals could be improved. The pad Thai was a bit disappointing. Really good portions, but it didn’t really taste like pad Thai. The dumplings were amazing though. All I’d suggest is to double check the commitment to quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow this was the most amazing meal I have had for a long time!!! What a mouthgasm! Great service when I was there; awesome server and seems like such a friendly atmosphere with all the chefs laughing and joking. Turns out I was the inaugural ordering for the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) Bao Bun and may I say it was awesome! Also got the Roast Pork Belly as takeaway to take back to my motel and I would highly recommend and will be going back there again when I am next in town!!!

What an experience!The decor, great friendly service and all those beautiful smells. We have ordered the spring rolls, which were good, but the short soup and the Kapow chicken took it to the next level and I must say they were one of the best dishes we have ever had!Soooo much flavor, my mouth is watering again just to write about it!Portions are huge, we were not able to finish it, same as many other customers around.Thank you team!As we are a big foodies, this visit certainly made our wedding anniversary unforgettable!!!
