★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent spot for some low east coast surf and I never really see much to notably discredit from a beach so 5 it is. Not as picturesque as others nearby, but still has parking, direct stairs access where needed, and not sure if there's a loo nearby or not like some others nearby too. Always good for dogs to stretch their legs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was amazing, we found a freedom camping site just over the rise, and met some really lovely people. There are public toilets and they are cleaned and refreshed very early in the morning. make sure to read the signs properly as there are prohibited areas that you will need to be aware of so that there arent any misunderstandings with the locals or the security that pop in now and then. It is a one night camping and there isn't very much room for alot of tents. The local people are very lovely and so was the security that came by, my family and my self had a wonderful time there, thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great views, but water had too much reef material. Car parking can be difficult to get. There is a secluded beautiful beach further up along 5 min away. Access via the Whananaki Coastal walkway.
