★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really popular spot for people to watch planes land and take off. Two levels across the road from each other to ensure you get the shot you are after, or just and relax and watch the clouds roll over. Surprised I had not gone earlier. Well worth the time to get close up looks of ye big planes coming and going.

All it desperately needs are toilets sheltered plastic stations with table & seating
Closing Time needs to be at a later time now theres cameras should be good enough for night viewing planes

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place for to watch plane landing and take off for Auckland airport, u can see very near by plane landing , kids will love it . Busy in summer time . Great place in south Auckland . Adding some photo and video for how it will close to watch plane landing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to spend an afternoon taking pictures of the either departing or landing aircraft. There are 2 places. One on your left as you drive towards the airport (few parking spaces) which is lower and another on the opposite side (large parking). For that one continue along on the highway and make a U turn at the roundabout. There is limited parking space and NO TOILET.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to watch planes land and depart. Also a good alternative to the wait zone when picking up friends or family from arrivals. There are 2 car parks available, one on each side of the road, so there is usually parking space. As mentioned by a few others there are no toilets here. Please do not litter, rubbish bins can be found on both sides.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love coming here as a child however they do need more carpark spaces or additional places to view planes from. However I do love the new road layout on the way to the airport, much nicer now and makes more sense. Get some food, park up, and make sure you have the “Flightradar24” app downloaded to your phone so you can see which planes are on its way :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is something so wholesome about parking up at this lookout. I highly recommend stopping, wither it's just for 5 minutes or an hour! It's a free activity that anyone can enjoy, kids and adults alike. I personally like to go and have lunch there while watching the planes go by, or use it as a waiting area when picking up someone from the airport.
Just as a warning, there are no facilities available. There are also technically two lookout car parks, one on each side of the road. You can only access the one on your side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this look out point… fantastic views and spectacular sights.. really kid friendly and safe however there is no available bathrooms as this can be inconvenient for elderly, children and/ or disabled.
Great spot just go to the bathroom prior
