★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an absolute gem! The house is well prepared to accommodate up to 8 people, has all the comforts of home, pretty amazing Wi-Fi and a view to die for. A fantastic place to stay for work planning, relaxed and stress free. Thank you to our wonderful host Paul whom made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We appreciated your manakitanga (hospitality) and a pleasure to meet Zoe the clever dog.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sea Urchin Cottage is an amazing get away just over an hours drive from Auckland city, with the feeling that you've left any city far behind!
An excellent retreat in a beautifully modernised home, well fenced for pets and children.
There's so much to do, or little if you prefer, including a short drive around the beautiful coastal highway to Thames for sightseeing and getting out and about, or just for an adventure.
The locals are all very welcoming, and the general area is noticeably tidy and well kept.
Paul, your host is very knowledgeable about the area, and a fantastic host to make your stay everything you had hoped and planned.
We will definitely be going there again in the future for another get away!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely loved staying here. One of the biggest highlights of our holiday to NZ. Very quiet and peaceful. The cottage had recently been finished renovations when we stayed. Very comfortable stay. Met the owner - very polite, friendly, and had a great chat about the renovations he did and what he knew about the history of the house. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in NZ.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a perfectly renovated cottage, and in immaculate condition. It’s an ideal stay for a family or a couple for a few days of quiet, coastal bliss. Dog friendly too. Kaiaua has stunning sunrises and this cottage is sun drenched for most of the day. Heat pump for night. Awesome location, across the road for the sea, and few hundred meters from Kaiaua Fish & Chip (probably the best in NZ). Paul is an amazing host. Absolutely loved everything about our stay. We will be back!
