β β β β β Had a gluten free slice of Black Doris shortbread and an iced coffee. Sitting outside in a balmy 25 deg day. Great service and popular venue.

β β β β β Nice owner, however understaffed, my partner had half her lunch before mine came out and i had to ask for it. Her lunch which was the tiger prawns was tasteless and a bit boring overall. Could definitely improve on thier menu. Seafood chowder was okay.

β β β β β Nothing wrong with the food in general but...
- Breakfast isn't all day, why is it that the staff are unable to cook an egg after midday, if you can cook a sardine surely an egg isn't that much more difficult? I think the majority of kiwis are happier with a brunch menu than heavy lunches, I didn't see many big lunches being eaten.
- The staff are pretty pushy at clearing dishes and putting the closed sign up at 2.30pm, outside tables being dragged inside etc. There was another group who were having their plates removed as they finished them while others were still eating.
Surely in these tight times the cafe would be a little more flexible with it's menu and opening times? I really dislike cafes that shut too early. I don't blame the staff but the owners should give staff some cleanup time after the doors shut.

β β β β β It's one of the crowded cafe I ever been too. I didn't try lunch but the coffe is what asked for. The view of harbour with a cup of cappuccino is all what I wanted. The staffs are really friendly and they remembered me once I visited second time. Even its too busy it's worth to wait. They close at 2pm so there aren't any dinner tho there is a bar to enjoy with your lunch. If you visit picton I highly recommend to grap a coffe if you have patient to wait in the lunch time (always) ??

β β β β β Great place for a lunch with nice Harbour view! We ordered seafood chowder and half dozen fresh local oyster and they both were awesome! The chowder contains a great portion of seafood with great flavor. The oyster was also a surprise to us which was really big and fresh!
The service was also great. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Picton.
