Hi, we’re Paul & Emilia, and we’re your hosts at Seagulls Guesthouse – our newly refurbished, guesthouse accommodation near the heart of Mount Maunganui. We want you to enjoy your stay on this beautiful stretch of coastline in the Bay of Plenty.
We have over 10 years in the hospitality industry as owners/operators of a Ski lodge together in Patagonia, Argentina before finding the perfect beach location to open Seagulls Guesthouse.

The comfortness of our lovely huge Queen bed was amazing, we slept so well, thank-you. The facilities are 5 Star plus yet soooo economical. Enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen especially

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, plenty of space around the place AND extremely clean. Good pricing. Some rooms have their own toilet and bathroom but the others have access to shared bathrooms and toilets. No TV in either roon we got but again, the price for the rooms is reflected in that. Would highly recommend for anyone to use this place. I'll definitely be coming back at another time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i did not read the guest policy. i was not happy that i had to pay for my newborn baby and my 1 year old daughter. my initial booking was for 3 children at the time of placing the booking. i assumed i did not need to pay for my two younger children. i then had my 6 year old nephew who i was happy to pay for as an extra child. However the owner told me he was not going to charge me extra for a pull out bed that was in the room, yet my original booking was for 3 children 2 adults
. in the room was 2 single beds and a double. so therefore i do not know why he made that comment. He had over charged my credit card and i am lucky enough to have checked my bank statements. He did however refund the overcharged amount. I did not feel comfortable after this.
It was not what i expected but was do able for the time we spent in Mount Maunganui

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed there over the past ANZAC weekend with my partner. Decent comfortable place at a great rate, has a decent living room area aswell as a good equipped kitchen, the stove could need a bit of attention as the oven doesn’t really heat that well. Otherwise totally fine for cooking a quick meal on a trip. It’s nearby to Busroutes and the City Centre, you do hear occasionally a train honking at night and / or a boat, but not a big deal really as everything else is quiet, the place was very clean and kept tidy. The host is very friendly Kiwiguy aswell and we had a good yarn with information about the area. There is also a few carparks at the premises.
Was a great stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for a week end of 2021, absolutely loved it. Very peaceful, very calm environment and great facilities. Large open shared kitchen with everything you'd need to make meals. Large shared lounge room and dining area. Lots of outdoor seating. Stones throw from The Mount. Highly recommended.
