★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff polite yet nosey. To crampt a carpark when fully booked. Tight on towels. No Milo for the kids. The room and cost we ok. But was trying to cheer my kid up after suiside in the whanau. Lady was nosey. Didn't like my bosses visiting us. Charged us a extra $50 for a Oranga Tamariki foster kid I had to collect on our last night arrived bak at motel 10pm.had to leave 10am. Not worth staying again!! The camera right outside our door was intrusive!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My last review was removed and I want to make sure this place has a bad review from me. So I’ll keep giving one star To warn people STAY AWAY!!!!!! Bad management, cancelled on me while I was on the way to the beach and never received refund. Not worth the time to take them to court but this is the absolute worst experience with any vacation accommodation I’ve ever had. Please save yourself and stay absolutely anywhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked ocean waves for what we hoped would be a fun relaxing holiday, unfortunately this was not the case. The place was unclean and the basic services of what you’d expect to find in the motel weren’t there. The utensils and crockery were filthy, and the fridge was broken so we had to use a tiny mini fridge for 7 of us. There was dirt all over the walls and the place was infested with ants. Although the place was advertised for 7, there were only 6 beds and someone had to sleep on the couch which was extremely uncomfortable and no linen was provided for this. The 6 beds were clean, but really uncomfortable. The manager was noisy and bossy and entered the house unannounced multiple times . She hung the motels washing as well as her personal washing over the balcony that we were sitting on. This was extremely unprofessional and what we felt was a breach of our privacy. We paid $3,500 for 5 nights which is a ridiculous amount for such poor service and unhygienic accommodation. Although the motel is in a good location I would not recommend for anyone to stay here, and we definitely will never be going back here ever.

Staff super friendly and remember us from before. Nice sea view apartments to with everything you need, fridge, microwave.
Everything just want you need.
Very clean aswell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can ignore old building of this hotel, if you really looking for a great place to stay when u travel to Mount Maunganui. You will wake up to ocean views. Handy location, close to all the amenities and central location. Rooms were amazing so was customer service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chose the front unit due to the court yard which was great. We found the room was quite clean, except for the frame for the sliding door next to the handle which was filthy. The room was spacious, double bed in the main bedroom and two singles. The kitchen was good, though the fridge was positioned as close as you can to the bedrooms, which would normally be OK if it wasn't so old an noisy. Sleeps 4, but only had one three seater in the lounge??? Paint flaking off the ceiling didn't really add to the experience, nor did the (seemingly) 25 watt light bulbs in an eclectic range of hues. The only light that was brighter than barely there was right outside the bedroom window, at about 30 thousand watts, the two roll down blinds in the window frame couldn't contain the light and we could have set up a chess game and easily have seen the different pieces with the amount of light in the room. Sure killed any sleep attempts. Hey, great for security for the vehicles, but needs a curtain to darken the room. Parking IS tight, getting our SUV into our park took about 20 maneuvers, even with a 360 deg' camera. No room service at all???? Location is fantastic, but not worth the $220.00 we paid per night as it is very tired and very un-loved.
