★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to walk or bike ride along here. Picnic spots and great trees to climb. Lots of birds to see and there is a "Toyota Kiwi Guardians" adventure here, too. Suitable for pushchairs and young children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Start of the lions walk, a nice stroll along the shore of the lake. Easily accessible. Great place to run / walk until the free camping ground towards Waitahanui (8km return), many great swimming spots along the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Secombe Park is a lovely place for a walk and a play with the family. Has a boat ramp. A long drop toilet that is always clean. Nice place for swim or paddle. Rope swing at far end from boat ramp. Very large recreational space.
