While Seddon Park is mainly known for its Cricket pitch, it also has special gems!! On the south side of the park there are buildings which house the Waikato Society for Potters, with stunning creativity evolving. Also, it is the home for Hamilton's Mens' shed, also a hive of activity. Hamilton's Art for Health create and thrive there, ArtVenture on Thursday evenings, and also Artmakers create there. The whole place buzzes with creativity, joy and exuberance. Splendid!!

Lovely stadium with grass banked areas. Family friendly. Good facilities. Happy, relaxed place to watch cricket. Reccomend- take your kids....they get to play on the outfield ?

It is close to Transport Centre like 4-5 minutes of walk, a really friendly place to watch cricket, you are much closer to the action than any other International ground.

Recognised as one of the cricket world’s best β€œboutique” grounds, Seddon Park is the home of cricket in Hamilton. About image The headquarters for Northern Districts Cricket Association and the Northern Knights, Seddon Park hosts several international fixtures every season. It is a regular stop for touring teams competing against New Zealand’s Black Caps in five-day Test cricket, One Day Internationals or T20 matches, with a crowd capacity of 10,500 people. Tree-lined grassy banks around two-thirds of the ground give Seddon Park a distinct β€˜village green’ feel, and were noted as one of its striking features by influential cricket magazine The Cricketer, which in 2012 rated it as one of the 20 best Test cricket venues in the world. Seddon Park is equipped with four floodlights, which are used for day-night matches at both domestic and international level. First designated for recreational use in 1864, in 1906 the ground was named after former New Zealand Prime Minister Richard Seddon. It was first used for first class cricket during the 1956/57 season, hosted its first international cricket match in 1981 and became a Test cricket venue in 1991 when New Zealand played Sri Lanka. A year later the ground hosted two matches as part of the 1992 Cricket World Cup and in 2015 three ICC Cricket World Cup matches took place there. Seddon Park has several rooms available for private functions including meetings, birthday parties, weddings, cultural events and other celebrations. Went to the CWC Australia vs England game. Amazing ground with great facilities. Only issue was the awful ground commentary from some lady on the mic. Names were pronounced wrong, she gave the wrong scores and was just not good enough for a World Cup event. Please don’t let her do it again. Otherwise the event was great at an amazing venue. Sit on the grass bank and enjoy the cricket in the sun

What a great venue to watch cricket. The grass bankment is well kept. The toilets are clean. There was a bit of a wait for food. Need more food caravans. Loved my time there. Will be back.

Stoked to see The Black Caps vs The Netherlands! We where able to take our own food and drinks which is great because it's expensive to buy it there.
