β β β β β This was best stay of our trip so far! A real jewel of a place, very relaxed, peaceful. Bird song, bush walks. The old schoolhouse has kitchen, lounge, bunkrooms and showers, and there's a huge camping area. And Dave is a great host!

β β β β β Beautiful surroundings and well equipped kitchen. Now cell reception and wifi, getting more difficult to escape. Plenty of camp space but few trees. Woken by barking dogs nearby in the night and then rooster from 4.30am... rather disappointing neighbour is not more considerate. Toikets and shower both very clean. Good walk at old ghost track but lack of info about the history of the area, although we inky walked in an hour...

β β β β β We went during one of the busiest periods of the year and found the campsite to not be too packed. It was half the price of the gentle annie site and has much better facilities and was not a tent city. It's a 15 minute drive to the same beach so it's cheaper to camp here in the quiet and drive to the beach.
Scenics from this site are also arguably better, you can go for a super long walk to the gold camp walk down the road.
