★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just cycled this trail and it was absolutley epic, from beautiful forest to mountain ridges to flowy singletrack. I came out on a high, a must do wether tramping or biking!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stop at the end of the Old Ghost Road. We had a pizza and ginger beer. You can also get a real beer. They also have accommodation if you want to stay and recover after you long tramp/ride. You can also buy the book about the making of the track or a hat or tee shirt.
This is a very secluded spot surrounded by bush with a view of the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the end or beginning of an excellent five day tramp through varied terrain with some artefacts of the gold rush era. Track conditions are excellent, the huts are beautifully located and very well provisioned. Not a single bit of monotonous walking. Truly a wonderful experience. Can also be biked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This trail exceeded all expectations, even the weather. As a walker taking 5 days, the hurts are well equipped with gas, pits and pans and plates and cutlery, which helped to keep the pack weight down.
