β β β β β I had heard good things about Sentinel, however my experience of the Wellington franchise was poor from a customer service perspective. I reached out to Hayden via phone (his voice message was that his preferred method of contact is to text him). I messaged him and got a couple of strange responses.
Persevering I contacted the Kenepuru landline and made an appointment. I spent almost an hour talking through my plans with Hayden's rep (I have a section ready to go), and got a reasonable idea about options etc. There were a couple of things the rep was going to follow up on including a couple of projects in the wider Wgtn region that the rep suggested I visit. Needless to say that was the last I heard from Sentinel, and after further researching my options I have signed a contract with another residential building company.
I suppose that's the key to my feedback, this is such a massive decision to take. You need to be comfortable that the 'investment' you are making is in good hands. Unfortunately I had little confidence in Sentinel's Wgtn franchise, I couldn't event get past 'first base', so had to widen my search for a company I felt confident dealing with.

β β β β β Well they say building a home can be super stressful, but our home build through Wellington Sentinel Homes was just the opposite. Of course there will always be minor setbacks with timing etc, and Covid smashed things up a bit, but everything was always communicated really well. Hazel was our first point of contact and was super good to deal with. Hayden and Kylie were awesome and Cam the project manager was great too, super knowledgeable and always had the answers when we needed info. I honestly can't recommend them enough, if you need a house built in their area, you can't go wrong.
