Looking for good optometrists in Central Wellington? We think we can help. We're an independent, boutique optometry practice at two locations near the railway station. Our team is made up of ten friendly and hardworking individuals who think that seeing well is important and that eyes are worth looking after.Seventy percent of the team are registered health professionals (either optometrists or dispensing opticians) so our education and expertise levels are high. We've also got a volunteer fire fighter and an early childhood teacher so we're good in a crisis. We've got a great selection of frames with an emphasis on quality European design and we have a workshop on site which means we can do repairs on site and put lenses in your frames faster than most local optometrists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome experience. The team repaired my Ray Bans, which I had purchased overseas, within 24 hours. I had been mentally prepared to wait a few weeks for repairs or to learn that the glasses were a total write off, so this was a great outcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fast and quality service - they have specialists right on spot for glasses repair. Arm of glasses broke off, so they sent it to Auckland as they needed to be welded and in North Island they are doing it only in Auckland. In 3 working days I got my glasses back. Team offered me reasonable alternatives, so I won't have to wait to long, but I choose to send them to Auckland anyways. Definitely would recommend their services!

1) I ordered glasses, they promised that once the prescription is made, the glasses will be there the next day. Whatever happened, it took them many days to deliver the glasses. No apologies. The reason S&M gave: They were forgotten the order.
2) The day after the prescription was ready, they called us to collect the ... contact lenses. But we never ordered any contact lenses. We ordered glasses!
3) We requested the prescription of the glasses. They are legally obliged to send us the prescription. Instead, they called one of my children, and they persuaded to him/her to order lenses. The audacity - wilfully calling a minor to secure the bottom line. Gobsmacking!

When I started to gel unwell about 2 years ago and had trouble reading, Anne was the one who identified that I was loosing my left field of vision. She wrote a report to my Dr where it was immediately diagnosed as a GBM tumour. I, You could almost say that she waved my life (Which might sound dramatic, but at the time it WAS)

Had two well-worn and damaged pairs of sunglasses made brand-new with high-quality lens (one pair polarized, one not - choice from seven colours) and even adjusted and improved the metal frames.
