β β β β β OMG best day ever. Unfortunate for the weather but that wasn't stopping us - NOPE!
However due to no tourism atm with NZ travel not opened up we had this place all to ourselves.... I wasn't complaining!!!
Shamarra Alpacas is stunning location and fantastic place, from the Alpacas, to that view, to did I say the Alpacas and the Staff.
We had Lydia give us the tour, show us around, she was amazing. You get the chance to meet them up close, see, feed, pat, basically be in the field with all of them. It's truly incredible.
The Alpacas are super chill, friendly and sooo freaking adorable.
It's impressive that Lydia knows all 170+ by name her favourite being Senyour. The names are brilliant such as Dorothy, Harley Quinn, Thordore, Solice, Chakitta, Dimitri, Bandit and a whole lot more names.... Omg was the best day ever for all of us.
Highly recommend this place it's definitely worth the drive to Akaroa. 11/10
I will definitely be back for sure.

β β β β β The tour at Shamarra Alpacas this morning was a truly wonderful experience for our family. Our guide Lydia was amazing ,so knowledgeable and a delight my family and grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed it, and have fallen totally in love with these beautiful animals.
We are so lucky to have this farm on Banks Peninsula and will be recommending to all .

β β β β β What an incredible experience with the most adorable Alpacas β€οΈ The locations was so easy to find, the farm tour went so smoothly with the lovely lady who made us so comfortable with the Alpacas for us to have the nicest experience and have the most fun with these furries. The tour was descriptive and we were able to watch and feed Alpacas of different ages including being able to see a pregnant one. Highly recommend this place. You will not be able to get over these beautiful and cute creatures. P.S. All the Alpacas at the farm have such amazing names and are very photogenic ?β€οΈ

β β β β β Great tour of Alpacas with a view! You get to learn a bit about them. Alongside a little viewing from 3 generations i.e. Old, Teens and babies!
Alapcas are super friendly and didn't spit on us at all!
