β β β β β We had a wonderful, relaxing two nights at this very unique scenic special place. It was private and had everything we needed for a glamping weekend. The hot tub and outdoors fireplace really made it as did the luxurious bed linen and thoughtful hamper. So love the care and attention to detail such as the fantail fabric blind, the beautiful soft alpaca blanket and the recycled wool blanket roses from Akaroa in our sleeping pod. Loved that there were so many local craft and food products incorporated into the experience.
The mixture of weather from hail to full on sunshine just added to the experience.
Really hope to return here.
Thanks to Kate and Richie for a really great experience.

β β β β β This place is FANTASTIC !!
We had one of the best days of our life here.
The hot tub is amazing, a 100% private place on top of the mountains with astonishing view.
It was raining a little bit during our stay but as I was excepting, it was awesome in rain.
Highly recommended.
Kate and Richie (the hosts) are amazing people, super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond for everything.
We did not order the Kate Hamper because I simply forgot to do that, but when I tasted the local honey, homemade muselli, and Kate's Crackers, I could imagine how great the Hamper could be.
We'll definitely come back.

β β β β β What a fabulous and much needed getaway from the hustle and bustle of work, covid and city life. As a wheelchair user we were unsure if we could make this work but we were responded to with nothing but honesty, transparency and willingness to make it work. And make it work we did!!! This 2 night getaway was worth it and not to mention the cobloaf and muesli.....putting the food aside, we had an incredible 2 nights recharging our batteries with the amazing views of the banks peninsula. Weather wasnt on our side but the experience was still magical. If you have limited mobility this is def doable, all you need is your portable ramps, open mind and be willing to adapt to your surroundings. I highly recommend Te Wepu

β β β β β A couple of months ago we had a delightful stay at Te Wepu with Kate and Richie.
The pods are situated in lush farmland looking out over to the beautiful Akaroa harbour. Our stay was punctuated with some pretty awful weather, but this didn't dampen the impact of the wonderful set up at our 'pod home'. Our favourite part of the day was sitting in the hot pool with the rain on our heads, followed by the options of eating marshmellows cooked over the fire, or choosing which delicacy to eat first from our hamper (the sausages are so divine we picked up some more from Richie on our way home!). The bedroom pod was warm, safe and comforting, much like that gorgeous alpaca blanket I nearly put in my bag as I left.. hehe. It is the attention to detail, the love and the care that is put into every aspect of this experience that makes it so special. Thank you Kate and Richie for sharing your slice of paradise with us. Linda and Dave

β β β β β Astounding.... A total break away form the world, yet still able to look down on it from the hilltops! The views were awesome, loved the tub and the fire pit up the hill. Try something new fresh and fun, a break outta your normal at Te Wepu... Kate & Richie are great hosts - set ya up and leave you alone to... whatever you want ;-)

β β β β β This place is a true gem! We stayed here for two nights (to end our travels on the South Island βin styleβ) and simply loved it. The incredible view, bird songs, hot tub, comfiest bed, a fire pit to stay warm in the evenings and the best drop down loo youβve ever seen ;) We felt like we were at the end of the world and really hope to be back one day. Thanks Richie & Kate!
The homemade crackers deserve a shoutout too, the best treat upon arrival!
