Unreliable service, Smartly try to set up my new account with automatic payment and takes already 5 months and still not happening. Been calling them many times, cant believe the problem still not solved. Completely waste of time.

Sorry to say this, but Smart Payroll has gone from 5 stars a year ago to 1 star reviews since the upgrade. I had a phone reply to my email after three weeks, by then I'd forgotten what the problem was! My boss is on the phone to them now and has been on hold for an hour already. What are management doing about this?? What was an excellent product a year ago.... and now all these complaints. Come on Smartly, what happened to your great customer service? Fix it fast and answer your customers phone calls and emails please.

This company was OK when I signed up 2 years ago. I was willing to put up with an outdated site and some usability issues because their prices were decent back then. Now their rates seem to keep going up to point they are not good value for money. The recent redesign hasn't improved their service in any way for me. So I have switched to Xero payroll and am happy with the move so far.

We have been using Smart Payroll (Now Smartly) for over 10 years and now canceling our subscription. These guys have had a dramatic decline in service over the past 6 months.. Don't waste your time using this company.

This payroll has a huge issue on their website, and they haven't been able to resolve it. The page becomes unresponsive, and it takes me approx an hour to do a 5 person payroll. Despite complaints, Smartly haven't even acknowledged the issue as much as trying to resolve it. it used to be good, but since last December, it's just not working, and seems to be getting worse.

I like Smartly because they take care of all of my payroll needs. Super handy and saves so much time. WAY better than manual entries of time sheets etc, our employees do all of that through an app on their phone plus can see exactly how much leave etc they have owing and can apply through the system too. Would highly recommend to other businesses looking to simply their payroll by clever use of their technology.

You know the old kiwi saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? IT HAS SOME MEANING! Why on earth did Smart Payroll turn into SMARTLY? Smart payroll was great and relatively fuss free. I dont like the look of smartly....reports seem to take a little longer to load AND find. Customer service was slow to start with and has improved since but not by a lot. I will be fair and say the seminars they have provided recently have been useful.

If I could give them a zero I would. Like other reviews there was nothing wrong with Smart Payroll, there was no need to rebrand. Majority of my payroll clients were using Smart Payroll, have now transitioned them away from Smartly onto another platform. Smartly are unreliable, hate the reports, customer service is non-existent and the platform I have to shrink my screen to see all the info to process. The only thing that was better than Smart Payroll is the app for employees.
