★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smith's book shop was an iconic book store, three stories high with so many books in every nook and cranny. Unfortunately after the Christchurch earthquake we lost the store along with the iconic building. Now it's a small book store in a beautique type mall, still has some old books, magazines and new books but is now in a modern type store. Not as much verity and like everything now more expensive. So it's ok for the odd thing but not as much to choose from.
