β β β β β I Spent a week in federal street January 2006 prior to entering Higher Ground when they operated in Parnell , Iβm clean and sober today.
Thank you to all the staff who guided me through the very start of my recovery journey you showed me love, compassion, patience and tolerance things that for a long time that no one showed me for that I am truly grateful, thank you Irene and your team.
Could not recommend this place more highly to all that struggle with addictions.

β β β β β Upon coming here I was already extremely afraid and isolated, and all I was met with was compassion and warmth from staff and other patients alike. The notion that addicts are content or happily complacent is completely false and only serves to enforce prejudice. The entire housing unit served as a support network for one another. My main goal now is to stay clean and be 2 years clean so I can be eligible to volunteer and give back to the place that healed me so much.
