A fantastic, evocative, and appropriate piece of sculpture work. It fits the Wellington vibe so perfectly that it feels like it's been there for ever. As the work was created by an ex-Weta Workshop person you can buy wee copies of it there (in Miramar). I think you can get them both at Te Papa and maybe even online. Thank you all that made this amazing addition to Wellington possible.

I had an overwhelming sense of melancholy with this statue. It's well crafted and the position on the waterfront is pretty, but there was a loneliness to it. Perhaps it was the setting sun, perhaps in was the night time colors settling in. I attempted to capture that melancholy I felt in my photos of this statue. What were your feelings on the statue?

Always a treat to walk down the waterfront. This statue really is fitting and perfectly in tune with the whole vibe in the area. This is my first shot of this piece. There will be more to come as I visit Wellington

Beautiful bronze statue next to the harbor and adjacent to the Te Papa Museum. One of the sculptures that you should see when you visit Wellington!

It is disgusting and vile. Shame on Wellington for forcing children to have to look at this filth as they walk past.

If you haven't felt this geezer up I suggest you do, he's rock solid.

An enchanting pause on the Wellington waterfront, reflections inside and out. A place to enjoy - pose, take a selfie, wonder, giggle. Stillness on a windy day.

You'd love walking down the waterfront - any time of the day. It'll be "a walk to remember" :) This is an iconic sculpture - probably one of the most photographed street arts in Wellington.
