★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic, evocative, and appropriate piece of sculpture work. It fits the Wellington vibe so perfectly that it feels like it's been there for ever.
As the work was created by an ex-Weta Workshop person you can buy wee copies of it there (in Miramar). I think you can get them both at Te Papa and maybe even online.
Thank you all that made this amazing addition to Wellington possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an overwhelming sense of melancholy with this statue. It's well crafted and the position on the waterfront is pretty, but there was a loneliness to it. Perhaps it was the setting sun, perhaps in was the night time colors settling in. I attempted to capture that melancholy I felt in my photos of this statue. What were your feelings on the statue?
