★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reckon it might be the best bakery in Dunedin. The pies are outrageously good and they do a bang up job of the flat white. There's a nice selection of rolls and sweet stuff too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a small place you would never expect so many beautiful tasty treats when you get inside ! I got the millers sourdough and kumara and capsicum soup to take home. Was amazing and cant wait to go back and try more of their amazing selection in the future !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pies are great, coffee is average. Pastries very dissapointing - we had a cinnamon roll and Pain au Chocolat. The Pain au Chocolat had a miniscule amount of chocolate in it and the pastry was more like dough and had a nasty aftertaste. The cinnamon roll hardly had any cinnamon filling in it and was very heavy and doughy. Will try the bread at some point as that looked nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ since moving to Dunedin everyone has raved about Spelt. So I went. The. breads are nice enough however the pies I had (I went back a second time because I was so disappointed the 1st time I thought I'd try again in the hope it was a one off mistake ) left much to be desired. Being vegetarian I went for the spinach and feta. So disappointing the pastry was doughy and it was 90% cheese flavoured potato with a splattering of spinach. Disappointing stodgy and over-priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fancy bakery that serves great coffee, but the food has taken a slide in the new year. This used to be our go-to spot for pies and bread, but the last few times the food was bad. First, we picked up steak and vegetarian pies. Both were thrown away - the veggie had a ridiculous amount of pepper and was completely inedible, while my steak was marginally better, but I could only get through part of it. The next visit I picked up a Turkish pide loaf, and a beef mince pie. The loaf was doughy and underbaked, and nothing like previous loaves, while the pie was lukewarm/cold, and tasted off & unappetizing. Shame, Spelt was a real gem, but we stopped going after these experiences. I left this feedback online through their web contact form, but didn't hear back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found this bakery on accident while visiting Dunedin. To say the food is amazing would be an understatement. The bacon and egg pie is legitimately the best pie I have EVER had. I also tried the orange cake 10/10 and the melting moment 10/10 and a very yummy latte. Overall 12/10. You guys are amazing, thank you ❤️
