★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small lake which serves as a natural destination if only wanting a hike of around 2 hours on the Kepler trail. Interesting history and biology of the bog ecosystem around the lake, and a decent view but underwhelming in the context of Fiordland's other viewpoints and natural offerings. The hike here from Rainbow Reach is nice, and I'd give the hike itself 4 stars.
