About Star Educare
Our Philosophy
We believe that children should be given an opportunity for active exploration and discoveries. Star Educare provides an opportunity for children to be creative and discover their own learning. We view children as a capable and competent individual, that we focused on providing a stimulating environment for children to explore, use their imagination and develop their communication skills. We believe that children develop confidence when they are supported in their exploration.
We incorporate in our practice the Principles and Strands of Te Whariki which supports children’s holistic development as a whole. We believe that children should be provided with a safe, nurturing environment for them to enjoy a meaningful learning experience.
We believe that every child is unique. We value their identity and well-being. Our curriculum respects the individual needs of each child. We also respect the child’s cultural identity and we welcome parents and whanau from a different culture. We encourage parent’s contribution and participation in sharing their values, beliefs and culture.
Children’s emotional development plays an essential part in their cognitive development that we promote social interaction and provide a nurturing relationship with them. We support them in every milestone of their development by reflecting on the deeper meaning of their learning as seen in their learning dispositions. We strive with our best practice to respond by making their learning visible to them and to their parents/whanau through rich documentation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really bad experience been there with my baby. The staff ( with a blue top)who took us do the visit was rude and unfriendly.
I was asking for a price list, the staff kept it hidden from me like I'm stealing her info, which makes me very uncomfortable!!! Does the price list should be open to the public? If u hide it, how does the parents make their decision ? Complained to her manager, seems like they were in the same shoes. What a waste of time! WON'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The environment of the centre is very near and tidy and the staff is really friendly . I visit the centre many times to pick up my child. So i would highly recommend to enroll their children with Star Educare.

My son went for one day and upon arrival when we picked him up he was left to sleep at the table at 3:30pm!!!! The teacher who was on the floor accused me of not packing diapers which I grabbed his bag and showed her I had indeed packed them. They used a very small diaper on my son. As well as refusing to show a price list and charging me $60 for my son who is almost 4, seemed a little dodgy to me as every other centre offered free 30hrs or 20hrs for children 3 and over.
Very rude staff who didn't seem like they cared when we arrived, they just kept to themselves. There's no real structure at this centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend to parents to choose Star Educare for their little ones. I love to send my daughter to this Center as I am so impressed by the clean and healthy environment. I like all the teacher's warm attachment with the children. I was too worried about my daughter how will she settled up in any Center but I am so surprised to see my daughter's great interest to go to the Center. She prefers to eat Center's healthy food. Overall, my experience is very good with this Center.

They are open, honest & genuinely enjoy working with the kids, its nice to know your child is in a great place. 100% happy with Star Educare ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very warm and loving day care, my son has been going there for over 2 years now and he loves it. All the teachers are so kind and respectful. Food is provided for and it’s a big help not having to pack proper lunch everyday. The day care it self is always neat and clean. I loved the Mother’s Day morning tea they provided recently as it made my day!! Also I love that the day care celebrate all events and festivals! Great job by the centre and all teachers. Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have enrolled our daughter here from 6 months and couldn’t be happier. The teachers are wonderful and accomodating to each child’s need. My daughter loves all her teachers and friends and always speaks about them at home too. Love how the centre puts so much effort into celebrating all the various festivals so our kids get exposure to diversity from a young age. Teachers are quite approachable so we feel comfortable speaking to them about any little concerns we do have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The teachers, staff and administrators are amazing. They truly care about the children’s learning and holistic development. My daughter have been very happy here and receive a quality education. She is always excited to go to the centre. Always shares her stories at home that how was her day at The centre. The most important thing that I like about the centre is that they always respect and celebrate the diversity of people and provide the opportunities to children and their families to participate in cultural events and festivals. My daughter loves the freshly made healthy food which is provided by the centre as She always talks about healthy food options at home.
Overall I am satisfied the care and learning provided to my daughter ??
