Phill goes out his way to make it happen. Bed down to Wellington. Nephew in a cast they made sure to take it in for him. Then our sofa from Wanaka who would've thought a quick turnaround back up to Auckland. Cheers. Fair price. Thanks for the outstanding service.

Worst moving company i ever used I will say stealing money off people This is message for stuart biggs who just full of threats and drama Gave me quotes moved piece of our property after 12 days when i emailed why buyer havent received armoire he told me they will not deliver it unless i pay them $940 which is just so ridiculous he quoted me $368 which i paid finally i got my piece back damaged and missing bits my buyer got disappointed ober 2 months wait because he wouldnt return my furniture back either Worst worst company we ever touched and will never never use it or neither recommend to anyone. Also will take further action to get our compensation for refund and damage

Will NEVER use Star Moving and Distribution again. The truck that showed up at my property wasn't the truck as per discussion, which means my load was separated into two small trucks, which will now have to be reloaded onto a bigger truck. After loading all my goods I was quoted an extra $1150, according to Star because of goods taking up more space. We paid the additional costs the same day. Even though the truck already left with our goods to the new region, We where informed that delivery will now be a day later as signed for. With having nowhere to go for the extra night and having a little one, I phoned my local Star office in Tahunanui to find out what's going on, I received an extremely unprofessional reply from an employee stating that I should go camping. The new delivery time would be communicate to me, which it never was. When I phoned the Christchurch office I was told my goods can be delivered on the date I originally signed for but, no one will accompany the driver to unload. Upon delivery on the later date it was clear that my items wasn't handled with care. The "extra space" I payed for ended up being small items that was loaded into boxes, these items didn't even fill the entire box. My opinion is that this was clearly a complete waste of space... Space I had to pay for, I was told to pay to ensure delivery, so what do you do ? You need your belongings !! Boxes that was clearly labeled with "Fragile" tape was badly damaged. Some of my kitchen glassware broken. My 1year old Samsung Fridge/Freezer was scratched, dents on the door and the back plate is bended up at the bottom. Also my 1year old Samsung 55" TV is destroyed, the screen is damaged and my brand new bed which was wrapped in thick plastic covers specially made for relocating beds, has ripped fabric around the edges. It was very clear looking at the wrapping of my items that it was dragged instead of picking it up to avoid any damages. Taking into consideration what we ended up paying my damages are far more and I definitely did not get the service I thought I had payed for. I am extremely upset with how my items was handled. Communication was very unpleasant and unsettling. We are new to NZ and our items are mostly brand new, it is our hard earned money that went into all our belongings and we add a lot of value to our items as its all we've got starting over in a new country, only for it to be damaged.

Great service ! Great communication. Received a call the day before with a time of delivery. Goods arrived on time and in perfect order and great guys to deal with. This is the second time we have received goods from Star and the service was spot on each time. Highly recommend using Star as your preferred mover .
