★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have passed through Putaruru countless times without stopping, and those were countless mistakes I made. Never again would I get fast food in Tokoroa because there's nothing good in the area.
The people who said that this is the best Indian food they have had are likely not exaggerating. This place has incredibly tasty food, and it's not just by Putaruru standard.

Indian food is always delicious we have tried a lot of the menu now and cant fault any of the food we have had,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seriously amazing Indian cuisine! ? After a good walk at Blue Springs we were famished and craving for Indian food. We ended up at Star of India at Putaruru. Loved their Chicken Vindaloo (spicy curry) with rice and Naan, chicken tikka ? and Mango lassi. A very hardworking family runs this place and provide excellent service!? Ample parking, with dining space and clean restrooms inside the food court.
