A pleasant walk, for all ages. A little bit slippery in places, as it had just been raining. Enjoy the track.

Cool trail, lots of beautiful trees and birds. Wish we had more time for the full 3 hour walk

Nice little walk. Its 5km in to the falls but 2.5km in is a nice boardwalk through the Mangrove forest if you don't want to walk all the way to the falls

Great walk to stretch the legs after a long day driving to Paihia. Very easy on the knees and legs, however, there's a few areas that might need a bit of attention while walking over rocky surfaces. Half way through the walk, you'll come to the mangrove bridge walk, which I find awesome, as the pathway curves effortlessly amongst the vegetation. A few short hills and narrow tracks but other than that it's fun. Duration: 50 minutes +/- Ps: if you don't want to walk the track to the falls, there is a road that leads you to the top.

Mangrove forest is spectacular and quite different from a regular bush. Make sure you come during high tide. Forest looks much better. Reflections from the water rather than a wet mud. It takes about an hour to get to mangroves from the Waitangi grounds side. The walk itself is not too hard.

A easy walk. The distance of 5 Kilometers is mostly through a wood. So you've shadow. Also the Mangrove wood is very nice to see. The way ist mostly at the same level, so you don't have to go steep up or down. Its even makeable for young and old.

Pretty nice walk for about 5 km. It’s very quiet and peaceful (you’ll get to see a lot of birds on the way, but I only met 7-8 people on the way). It’s mainly in shadow that you don’t get to be exposed to the strong sun that much. The path is pretty narrow though well maintained and not much up and downs - easy to walk. I didn’t plan to take this path though I found it after visiting the Treaty Grounds and though it would be an ideal path to go to the Haruru Falls. As everyone mentions the mangrove forest (which is located about the middle of the path) is something worth visiting! It is also because it was my first time to see it, but it was very interesting.
