G	Greg Olsen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travelled to the Hotel for an event. Staff organising the event were exceptional. Couldn't ask for more. Sadly the rooms and servicing/maintenance of the rooms was below standard. Paid a premium to soak in the amazing views of the ocean, but sadly I am unlikely to return again or recommend to others.
M	Make and play on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice rooms and all but... Service and Plumbing is poor. The service, The annoying thing about service is that, When they come and clean your room, They would make the beds, And tidy up the bathroom. The annoying that about service is that they stole our shampoo, Soap, And bug spray. We started complaining about it, But... they just kept lying and saying " Oh, We found it We will give it in 30min" And 1 day past, No call. And the plumbing, The rooms were brilliant but... When I wanted to turn on the shower, Water sound goes but... No water coming out. So I opened it on Max and hot water came pouring out. It felt like 70 Degrees even though the handle showed it was ' COLD '. Nice place, But... Would like more better plumbing. Very nice food and swimming pool, Enjoyed it! Thanks Copthrone Hotel

Damp smell throughout. Carpets need a clean Alot of ants crawling around the fridge area. Overall very average. Needs a renovation for sure.

We had a lovely sea view room in the renovated section of the hotel which was very clean and comfortable. Any other disappointments were entirely due to Covid restrictions, not the fault of the hotel at all. Excellent restaurant service and thank you Dimitri for your assistance. Will definitely be back!
I	Isabella's Gmail on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here to see family for Christmas and stay one night and by the looks of things, the hotel is incredibly short staffed. Working in the hospitality industry myself I actually feel for the employees here. They’re really trying their best. Although the hotel appears outdated and old, my overall experience here was great! Love the views from the pool, the aircon was fabulous during this hot season and the kitchen caters for vegans which is amazing! Bravo! All the best to you Copthorne, may this year work out better for you.
D	Dirthouse on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the whole, I had a reasonably nice time in Paihia. On the downside, Copthorne was easily the weakest part. I expected so much more. To be fair, it was in a beautiful location; however… I paid extra for a decent suite this week, but it turned out to be exceptionally disappointing. The room itself was incredibly dated. There was a door leading directly into the another guest’s room (minimal soundproofing) and the kitchen & bathroom were essentially one unit. Very unsettling. Looking at the rest of the hotel, the room I stayed in is in serious need of a full renovation. What’s more, I left the sign out requesting room service, however I came back in the evening with no fresh towels, no new sheets, no cleaning or service carried out at all! I would recommend looking at other options first.
I	Irene Barratt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed for 11 days and cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They worked tirelessly to ensure you enjoyed your stay. In house food very good. Wonderful location and complete relaxation with sea facing units and balconies. Vaccine passes and scanning gave assurance that the majority of guests and visitors were safe to be around. Enjoyed ourselves very much.
R	Rebecca South on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As soon as we arrived you could tell the hotel was a bit run down & understaffed, the staff that they did have were friendly & trying their best. The hotel atmosphere gave school camp vibes, definitely not worth a 4 star rating. The room was clean, spacious, had a great view and the bed was large & comfortable, but the kitchenette & bathroom were in serious need of an update. The facilities were old making the room feel unclean. The bathtub with the shower overhead was chipped & had a shower curtain and bath mat that looked like a breeding ground for germs. On a positive note the shower pressure was great. We had two meals at the restaurant, breakfast & dinner. The breakfast was very basic, poor quality & had to pay extra for a sub par coffee. The dinner menu again was basic, food that was either fried or left in a slow cooker all day for minimum effort. The location of the resort was lovely but was a bit of a drive out of town for someone who didn’t have access to a car. The hotel didn’t provide a courtesy bus so we ended up paying $75 in taxi fares for our 2 day stay. Would highly recommend staying somewhere closer to town.
