Steelworks New Zealand Ltd are specialist structural steel fabricators and erectors, with purpose-built facilities and equipment to produce high quality and cost-effective structural steel to the construction industry. Together with an experienced team of 34 based at our 2000m2 factory and 4000m2 yard on Hewletts Road, Mt Maunganui, we are able to specialise in projects ranging from multi tonne commercial and industrial buildings to house and deck beams, stairs, handrails, balustrades, pipework and plate work.
We are quality focused and have invested heavily in software, systems, equipment and people to ensure that their work meets the requirements of the design for steel structures and projects throughout New Zealand.
Steelworks NZ Ltd is committed to ensuring all staff are fully qualified and trained in their specific roles to enable them to carry out their roles safely and efficiently. We are also an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer and have extensive HR policies and procedures in place to complement our good work practices.
We were the second company in the Bay of Plenty region to achieve the AS/NZS ISO3834 International Institute of Welding qualification and is also a certified fabricator under the SFC Quality Assurance Scheme (CC3 - Construction Category 3). As part of our commitment to the SFC scheme we provide full material traceability including mill certification as well as fabrication, welding, surface treatment and site QA. This package is provided to the client on completion of a project.
