About Summerhill Estate Golf Course
Summerhill Golf Course was originally established over 20 years ago, providing a destination for the casual golfer to challenge themselves on the undulating fairways and deceptive greens
Since 2014, the Procter family have enjoyed the task of developing Summerhill Estate into what it is today, a high quality NZ Affiliated Golf Course with a relaxed and welcoming feel for both the beginner and experienced golfer. An environment where golf can be played without the rigid formality often associated with traditional courses.
With such a beautiful location and views over the Bay of Plenty, the owners set out to build on what was already established and create a space for the wider community to enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem on the hills above Papamoa. Lovely course with great greens. Taking a cart made the hills easy and we had a very enjoyable round with a nice casual lunch and a beer after the golf. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an absolute treasure of a course. A hidden gem. Loads of work has been done by the lovely owners. Owner Tonia is the loveliest hostess. The views are totally amazing. Lunch was a delicious toasted sandwich sitting in the sun under their veranda.
Would certainly recommend for everybody to play and would play it again at a drop of a hat but being from Timaru may not be possible, but so so pleased we have this one ticked off our golf course list.

Thoroughly enjoyed a round with friends after recently visiting Tauranga and I would highly recommend the trip out to Summerhill Estate Golf Course. Right from the first hole (which isn’t as intimidating as it seems at first!) the course is challenging without being overly demanding and is full of interesting twists and turns along the way. And did I mention the views??!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful privately owned golf course. The owners have kindly allowed the use of their golf course to respectful visitors for nominal fees. The golf course has stunning views of the Bay of Plenty, Major Island, Motiti Island and beyond, beautiful mature trees and fairways.
