★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You would think given the value of the sunglasses they sell, they would have fantastic after sales care.... turns out to be not the case at all.
I have brought a few pairs of sunglasses over the past 24 months (x2 Prada, x1 Oakley), well over $1500 worth with this store... I had a situation with a pair of Prada sunglasses (25 months old, $500+ value) the arm has become loose, one month out of warranty. The customer service rep didn't want to know... no after sales support, no repair service available, no discount on buying a replacement pair offered.
To be honest I will now gladly avoid this place from now on, great service at the front end when your handing over cash, but rude and very unhelpful service if you strike an issue.
They have had had my last purchase, would not recommend SUN GLASS HUT when other sun glass providers are a LOT more helpful and accommodating, even offering support to myself with glasses when purchase not made in there store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience with sunglass hut. Firstly I purchased a pair of sunglasses from Hamilton that I choose to swap in Aussie when i was there as i changed my mind. Once home in NZ i dropped them and stepped on them (very annoyed with that!!) and i was able to purchase a new pair for half price. There was a warranty issue with them after 15 months and was able purchase a new pair on their full price even through i got them at 30% off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sunglass hut Bayfair is a very appealing little shop, with a wide range to choose from and visually a nice layout with good mirror positioning (could maybe have taller mirrors?).
I was extremely happy with my service, the front of desk was amazing to deal with and had great advice as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely poor customer service and no aftersales service at all! I bought 2 pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses on the 21st December 21. I am not using the other pair often and if i use it, it’s only for 5-10 mins for driving to work. Not until when we had our holiday and I got the chance to wear it longer but it gave me discomfort since the temple part of the sunglasses is digging behind my ears. Upon checking, I discovered that the temple part is twisted. I brought it back to Bayfair store on the 28th Jan 22 but I was shocked that the manager said to me that none of their products are faulty and I mishandled the sunglasses that’s why it becomes twisted and with that, they cannot exchange my sunglasses. To note, there is not even a single scratch on my sunglasses.
To add to that, the manager and a staff were talking on their own language in front of me which is so rude and unacceptable. And to add to their excellent customer service, she even told me to contact their customer service and ask for authorisation to swap! What a great customer service indeed!
I sent an email to their customer service on the very same day but didn’t get a reply until today when i made a follow-up and told that based on their store assessment, the fault is due to accident. I attached some photos and you’ll be the one to judge… Note the gap that I can even insert an over 100 pager book into it and the temple part is not even touching the book yet.
My purchase may not be material to sunglass hut but if they want to keep their customers, i believe that the can do better than what they have done. Hopefully, no other customer will experience this and I will ever buy again from them!
