Help inspire your kura/school or kΕhanga/early childhood centre take action on climate change. This is a free workshop for teachers and educators interested in rolling out sustainability focussed, climate action, waste reduction programmes in their kura/school or kΕhanga/early childhood centre.

β β β β β I wouldn't get work done through the sustainability trust again - they do not actually have their own tradespeople but outsource the work. Months of delays and terrible communication throughout for a simple job.

β β β β β I love Sustainability Trust and am lucky to live within walking distsnce. I am collecting batteries at my work to take there, and have taken some small electrical items. There are small fees for these services but it's so much better than putting them in land fill. Have just found out they take old pots and pans for free!

β β β β β I really like what the Sustainability Trust stands for but had a bad experience with their insulation service. Posting here to ensure others understand that there are hidden costs to the install. They advertise it as being free as its subsidised by the Government, they make sure to note that they will charge an hourly fee if they need to move anything to gain access so I cleared under the house to ensure this would not be the case, but when I received the invoice they had added 3 hours of labour on to it, when I enquired further they sent photos of what took 3 hours to move and it was an empty paint can and a couple of small pieces of insulation. It would have taken 10 mins to move if that. If you do get them to install insulation, I would recommend you time how long the installers are on site just in case.
Update: the sustainability trust has since reached out and recognised that this wasnβt handled well and provided a partial refund which is positive.

β β β β β Karl came and visited us at home and gave us a thorough list of the various options we have to increase the Sustainability of insulation and warmth of the house. He was very helpful and guided us through the various options and we are looking forward to having a warmer and dryer home.
