Creating a slice of heaven for guests is what owner Terry Parkes strives for every day.
Even after 30 years in the business, he’s not about to give up this aim. You see, the guest experience at the Nice Hotel and Table Restaurant is ever evolving. A constant work in progress which gets richer with time as Terry continues to collect more furnishings and art for guests to discover. His compulsive shopping habit could have something to do with this!
With an appreciation for the finer things in life, Terry is inspired by the lifestyles of the rich and famous. He feels privileged to have brought a hint of this lifestyle to New Plymouth.
Terry works tirelessly to ensure your comfort and has handpicked staff who support this ethos. He is also quick to recognise peoples’ needs and has the ability to know when people need space, or need a friend.

Using techniques from the most popular international chefs, they deliver unforgettable experience, where food is an object of lust, status and imagination. Ceviche with citrus pearls resembled black caviar was a very elegant taster. Lasagna with kawakawa leaves demonstrated what real fusion kiwi cuisine is. Lamb ragout melted in the mouth like a dew drop on sunny morning. The owner Terry Parkes came for a chat and it was nice.
