Even after 30 years in the business, he’s not about to give up this aim. You see, the guest experience at the Nice Hotel and Table Restaurant is ever evolving. A constant work in progress which gets richer with time as Terry continues to collect more furnishings and art for guests to discover. His compulsive shopping habit could have something to do with this!
With an appreciation for the finer things in life, Terry is inspired by the lifestyles of the rich and famous. He feels privileged to have brought a hint of this lifestyle to New Plymouth.
Terry works tirelessly to ensure your comfort and has handpicked staff who support this ethos. He is also quick to recognise peoples’ needs and has the ability to know when people need space, or need a friend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did not stay at the hotel, a group of 6 of us went for the lunch during the garden festival. We all had the advertised prawn and mango salad. What there was was ok, they were shrimps (4) lettuce and dressing. The cost was $35 for salad glass of wine and desert. (A slice)
Setting was a delight value for money terrible. Very average at best

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have just very recently had a "let's have a night away" and our night at The Nice Hotel was truly amazing. Right from arriving with out lovely dog ? with us we felt truly special. The service was second to none, same with the food and drinks. The staff truly amazing. Our beautiful dog was completely welcomed everywhere in the hotel. If anyone is thinking about going there for an amazing night away, don't think about it DO IT !!!! Thankyou thankyou thankyou to the most wonderful staff for making our stay completely memorable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem and a lucky find. Our first night elsewhere in New Plymouth was not a good experience but the Nice Hotel put all that behind us. Terry the owner and his staff could not have done more to make us welcome and were all totally professional. Nice comfy beds and a real home away from home feel. Will definitely be back next time in New Plymouth and best of all they are pet friendly.Thanks for making our last two nights in New Plymouth a good experience.
