"The trailer for our 24’ pleasure craft broke a spring on both sides of the leading axle of a tandem set during late November. Extensive inquiries around Auckland failed to find an engineer that could do the job until January or February. Upon informing Tableau Towbars and Trailers of our plight and with Christmas but 4 weeks away, I asked if they could handle the repair job before then. Damage unseen they said they could. We arranged for the trailer to be transported down from Auckland, arriving around the 14th December. Rowans’ report was that it would require new springs. The job was completed plus some new pins for rollers, replacement jockey wheel and ready for a W.O.F inspection on Friday 15th December.
The job was done very speedily but more importantly we asked for some wheel rims to be modified to accommodate tapered wheel nuts but being a true professional, Rowan advised he could not without a qualified Engineers certificate saying the modification was suitable for the trailer.
Rowan is a true professional, he gave qualified advice without compromising his professional prowess, his work timelines can be relied on and as can his workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending Rowan and his team for any Engineering work".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely NO customer service. Had a towbar made and wiring installed with the bypass box for a new vehicle. Took my car for it’s annual service and dealer could not drop the bottom cover to change the oil as the wire to power the bypass was fitted through this cover. Dealer had to re-route the wire to enable the cover to come off so they could drain engine oil and change oil filter. He commented that the 12 volt wire direct to the battery should be fused and to get the towbar installer to rectify. Took comments from the dealer to Tableau Towbar concerning the fuse (cost about $5.00) and they point blank refused to rectify and said they never fitted fuses to bypass feed wire and that it is not required. (Google any wiring instructions for a bypass system and it requires a minimum 15 amp fuse at battery.). I paid the dealer to re-route wire at front of the car so they could carry out it’s service. Tableau Towbars said garages do this all the time and it is totally unnecessary. I have two grandchildren I would not allow to ride in my car because the current situation is a fire hazard. The Tableau Towbar staff member was rude and our conversation ended with angry outbursts and no resolution! I have fixed the problem myself for $5.00; time taken - five minutes. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone once in a while someone goes well beyond the call of duty. Was after a particular style of bike rack, similar but not the same as what they sold.....have been thinking about this for sometime but not able to find. Told them the problems I was having....not only did they provide an unbelievably simple and cheap solution to my existing rack but also gave me another old rack they had and did some minor modifications to this / to fit my car... for like no money. They also pointed out I should have a looking pin on the tow bar which I purchased from them saw them & later at supercheap for the identical price....but if they had not said I would not have known how to use it or that I even needed one to truly secure my bikes......these guys went way, way beyond the call of duty, they made my day/ month and maybe even year :-) Got a problem - go and see them and they also have a fab range of products

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ive known the people at this place for many years, as i get little jobs done from them, and i mean little jobs, like BBQ parts fix and my computer seat repaired and of course a tow bar for my partners car. now im a tight with my money and like to get a good deal and they have always looked after me. i find that there prices and service and knowledge is 2nd to none, and well worth the visit. so if you need any tow bars or trailers or Ute decks check them out you wont be disappointed, they always go the extra mile

Tableau Towbars did the job for me the next day at a reasonable price. Their communication is top notch too – calling to let me know when the job was completed. Good job at a keen keen price!
