★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Home to Nelson's iconic Tahunanui Beach Reserve, which includes Nelson's theme park which includes a hydroslide, skating rink, race car track, a rather large playground, including a well patronized basketball court and skateboard halfpipe.
Also available here is the Tahunanui Library, Natureland Zoo, tennis courts, a nice cafeteria and a pile of walking tracks around the beach.
Finally, a large playing field which also doubles as the perfect place to hold large scale sporting and community events and fair galas. Truly one of Nelson's greatest assets.
