★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay; especially if you have kids. Rooms are private and clean with good flow. Situated in a great spot for busses, beach, Takeaways, dairy, and pubs. Great services with laundry and great family rooms, playground and mini golf even! Kids loved having the beach and BMX track so close

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What isnt excellent about this place?!!... We stayed as a group (Wairarapa Evergreens softball) and cannot fault cleanliness, space, functionality and the unit we had was such a fantastic surprise for a "holiday park". Not what we ecpected at all. Activities, close to beach, pubs, meals, airport. A short drive to see the sights Nelson has to offer. Have definitely recommended to friends and family.

Wide camping ground, option of powered spots, they rent units, cabins. There is a good number of toilets, kitchen and BBQ areas on good condition! There's a good Cafe near the reception with welcoming and friendly staff!
For playing with the kids they offer bouncy castle, mini golf course, sports area and you can rent a kind of a ''pedal kart'', and all with a very good price!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to stay close to town to eat and have a few drinks so opted to pay $21 per night for a non powered sight.
Usually we stay at at DOC sites for around $8 per night for a non powered site.
For the difference in cost I feel staying here is doing yourself a disservice. For the additional money you get lumped into an allocated space right on top of other campers who seem to have no respect or decorum. If the hustle and bustle of a calais style camp doesn't wake you up the planes will...
Nelson Airport is not particularly busy but staying directly underneath the flight path in a tent made me feel as though I was on the western front in world war two sheltering from an imminent shower in spitfire ammo.
Furthermore the facilities you would expect come with a Campsite which markets itself of some caliber are completely oversubscribed and overcrowded.
I would not stay here again and feel that others would be best to look at the local DOC campsites or other options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place for families to stay. Great location beside Tahuna beach, close to loads of activities and plenty of activities at the park over summer - live music, awesome band at new years, and the inflatable water slide which has been a huge hit this year! We visit every year with our extended family, a tradition going back almost 60 years and we will continue it with our kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been here two years running and we are planning to make it a bit of a tradition. There are excellent areas for the kids with a few parks spotted around and a large bouncy mat near the entrance next to the minigolf and pedal carts for hire. The staff have been unerring and lovely to deal with.
There are a range of rooms and accommodation types, last year we took a backpacker style bedroom but this year we got a cabin ( again kids make the choice for us) the room is warm the bedding clean and the view is spectacular.
See you again in 2019

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in a cabin for 4 people. It was good. It is really great for kids. Lots for kids to do.
Only negative I had is that bathroom cleaning was between 9 and 11 am. I understand that you need to to these things and they do an amazing job at it but then set the times so people know when it will happen and can plan around it. They close it for cleaning so you can't enter for toilet or shower. Or maybe clean in late afternoon?? There were always less people at holiday park then. Lots of people not happy especially in peak season. But other than that it was really a great place to be at and I do recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great stay! Only thing was that our land was very hard and dry so it was quite a challenge to get our pegs from the tent into the ground. Other than that it was a brilliant stay! We also decided to do the mini golf and it was so fun and cheap! The fish and chips was amazing! It wasn’t too salty and it was the best fish and chips I have ever had. Thanks Tahuna Beach Holiday Park for giving us a great stay!
