β β β β β Cosy, air conditioned restaurant for dining in or you can order takeaway. Excellent service from friendly staff. Good wine list with a selection of NZ wines. Plenty of variety on the menu and made to order. Picture is Mango Kulfi - delicious.

β β β β β Butter chicken sauce with beef and a few chopped up cashew nuts does not equal a beef korma. Really upset either get back the old chef or teach your new one what a korma is

β β β β β We eat Indian out at a few good places, we were not really welcomed when first arrived, but our service lady was nice and friendly once seated, but we were put by the auto door which kept opening right buy partners elbow so was windy & cold, plus it was so busy/noisy we could not even hear each other speak ?
Their Sizzling platter for 2 was not as good as others I've had, didn't like the samosa, had a powdery spice taste, the kebabs were small and crumbled to bits, and my piece of chicken tikka was dry ?
On up side the actual Curry's were delicious, generous with lots of meat, and so tasty ? and their cheese Naan was excellent too ?

β β β β β Throughly enjoyed our time at Taj, highly recommend . We had the lunch special , butter chicken and added garlic cheese naan, $17.00 and we were full. We were told their food is quite hot ,so we got mild , it was perfect ?. We came from Waihi wot a lovely little twn. Everyone was SO friendly. Will definitely return. Forgot to add they not shy with the chicken either , had heaps of chicken.

β β β β β Beef saagwala - the rice was very well cooked., the food was hot and the service quick. The flavour of the beef saagwala was not as strong as I have had it elsewhere but it was enjoyable. The beef was tender and the sauce thick. The naan was well cooked.
The service was quick once I placed my order but I did have to wait too long before a server came to the counter. I almost walked out but I wanted to try this restaurant.
