About Castle 91 Indian Restaurant
Castle91 was established in 2012 and this was the first time Indian food was introduced to the King Country town of Otorohanga.
The restaurant is located in an old building that had an interior that had originally looked like a castle - hence it's rather royal name!
It didn't take long and Castle91 had gained a loyal following - enjoyed not only by locals by by tourists from all over the world who had come to the area to visit the Waitomo Caves and Otorohanga Kiwi House.
Castle 91 serves fantastic, authentic Indian food. The team promise to give you great service, freshly cooked, made-to-order meals, and it is this promise that led to them winning a Menulog National award in 2014 and 2015.
Castle91 is fully licensed with a great winelist, tap and bottled beers and a range of non-alcoholic beverages. There's also a range of cocktails and mocktails for a special night out.
The restaurant also offers BYO for a modest corkage surcharge.

Really enjoyed the food and the drinks as well, Mrs. ordered the RED FORT which was awesome and tasted great, the service was great, friendly staff we will be back for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely poor service via uber eats. The order is usually late by 1 hour or so even when the restaurant is only 10-15 min away. I am sure they only start making your order if you bother to call them and find out whats going on. Has happened to me twice, I thought they would understand good service.
