The food was of very high standard, and the vibe of the red was nice. However the serving speed could have been faster

All the dishes were of incredible quality and taste. It's clear that they put serious thought and tests into every single one of their options. Highly recommend Trust the Chef on their dinner menu and their Sake Sampler

Pork and dumplings are both dry, probably won't go back. Miso soup was good though.

The ramen here is fantastic. Authentic cooking by Japanese chefs, with great ambience. I can’t help coming here every week now, it helps that parking is really easy and right outside the restaurant. The customer service is great too, Jasmine was attentive to what I needed and recommended the veggie tantan (mince made from soybeans flavoured with some spices) ramen; it exceeded my expectations for a vegetarian ramen, I would have that again. The shoyu ramen is good too. Those who like seafood would like the crayfish broth of ebi ramen, an option you can also choose for the miso ramen. I wish the pork dumpling fillings were less overcooked / have some spring onions or water chestnuts in it, although the skin was well made.

Really good food, we tried the Trust the Chef menu which consisted of 5 dishes to share, one better than the other... Good portions for two and with different choices of seafood and meat... We tried the cheesecake for dessert and it was amazing, wish I had another one. Thank you for such a good experience!

Service was good but for the price, I expected more as I have had some amazing Ramen in Japan and in Auckland. I ordered the ebi ramen cooked in crayfish broth with extra pork belly. It came with 2 pieces of fried prawn, noodles, a bit of bean sprout and pork belly. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The ramen was okay as the broth was quite salty. My husband ordered the tan tan ramen. He was really disappointed in it for the price we paid for it. The soup was bland and not spicy. It had some mince, noodles and 1/4 of a book choi. The 3 stars are for the service and pork belly.

Absolutely fantastic Japanese food. Sashimi was awesome. Ramen and Miso was amazing. Both styles of okonomyaki were fantastic!! We love this place. PERFECT MEAL. Delicious!
