β β β β β This place had very nice and tasty pizza. The service was good and informative and the delivery was fast. The idea of serving it in a rectangular box for half a big pizza is smart and very easy to carry. However due to the large portions, there is a problem when holding it as you would require two hands or the grease will drip off the side. It would be nice if they could cut pieces into sixteenths instead of eighths on request just for easier handling.

β β β β β Excellent pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Watching the guy behind the counter make the products from scratch - clearly cares about crafting the best products and carrying on the Sal story ?

β β β β β I'm from New York City. As a true born and raised New Yorker, I can tell you that this pizza is the closest you'll find to the real thing in NZ, and by far the best in the country β I would know. Every time a person from NY eats a slice of pizza, we critique it. We can't help ourselves. It's a subject near and dear to our hearts. It's in our culture, in our blood, in our Italian heritage. That being said, we know when we're getting the real thing. We also know if something's been frozen, isn't fresh or just isn't right. Thankfully, Sal's does pizza well. The crust, the cheese, the sauce, all taste like home. And trust me, I would be the first to tell you if they didn't. I'd put it on par with any average, common NYC pizzeria. Try my favorite, the Manhattan, with pepperoni and mushrooms. My only criticism is that the garlic knots could use a little work. The consistency just isn't right, and they need more garlic. Sal's continues to deliver a quality, consistent product across all of its stores β I've visited the ones in Frankton, Queenstown, Pukekohe, and Mt. Wellington. I'll always stop at Sal's if I see one. It makes the experience of living so far from home just a bit more tolerable.

β β β β β Very good and big pizza. I had some garlic knots too and they were burnt. I hope it's a one time mistake...

β β β β β You ever have one of those days when your constantly dreaming of your lunch break? Cause same. What I dreamt about you ask? Some delicious Sal's pizza. So, you can imagine my dismay when I finally get my lunch break at 2:00 and walk over to find a sign on the front door reading "On lunch break be back at 4" 4!!! Now don't get me wrong, totally understand a 30 minute, maybe hour lunch break but two hours with no one in the store over lunch time?? Needless to say it was a very very sad day. Still gave 2 stars tho cause that pizza do be bomb
