About Taylor Dental Practice
Never put anything other than milk or water in a baby's bottle or sipper cup. As soon as your baby's first tooth erupts, start cleaning it with a soft cloth. Around the age of six months, introduce your baby to an appropriate toothbrush under supervision. Put a very small amount of "milk teeth" toothpaste on the brush let them get a taste for it. Allow them to brush their own tooth/teeth first, before you take over and complete the job. Physically aid your child in brushing their teeth until they are around 8 years old.
It is helpful if you brush your own teeth while they watch, as your child will learn from you. Introduce your child to floss at around 8 years of age. Demonstrate the correct technique. It is important to realise that many cavities form between our teeth, where a toothbrush can't reach! So flossing is every bit as important as brushing to remove all the plaque.
Brush twice a day - Especially before bed - then don't consume anything other than water! Make sure to also brush the bacteria from your tongue. Use a forward sweeping motion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the worst experience I have had at the dentist. By his very rough treatment he created a problem which wasn't there before my visit and then charged me for fixing it!
If I knew that is how he runs his practice, I wouldn't have gone back there. I am very unhappy. Needless to say, I wouldn't ever go there again and will not recommend this dentist to anyone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the best Dental Practices in the Taranaki Region. He was easy to talk to, extremely professional, while still being warm and friendly. The building has plenty of parking, easy access, very tidy, clean, and comfortable waiting room. During the operation everything was explained clearly, and the dentist chair was comfy as a cloud. Whole thing went smoothly and there was no pain or discomfort. As for prices, they are very reasonable and flexible. Good value for money, would happily recommend to everyone I know.

I have seen Dr Dennis and Dr Jessie and both were caring of my needs, highly professional and communication in relation to the procedure is first class ... all options and related costs discussed, questions answered ... no surprises! I highly recommend Taylor Dental Practice to anyone requiring a dentist - added bonus: fees aren't inflated and the practice is close to town with ample off-street parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a toothache. It was Friday. I left a message at around 4pm. Yes long shot but Taylor dental have. The best dentists by far and I gave been to a few.
They called said they could help if I could get there in half hr. I could. My entire left face swollen nearing my eyes and throat. So infected meaning injections never work. But the young lady dentist. Did it! Was fully numb. Had to pull 3 teeth that day. Took an hour half. Very difficult procedure.
This is the best dentist in new plymouth. By far. Always on your side not just to make money as you can leave with a great smile.. Cheap implants now here. For around 5k you can have 2 titanium bits drilled into the bone and your teeth they have already made will clip right on. Never a better solution.
The more expensive option available too. I think that's 4 titanium bits for teeth to clip onto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not usually the one to complain or write bad reviews, but this time is very different and I hope this review helps someone avoid what I went through. I was pregnant and needed an urgent root canal so I called around and found Taylor dental, after 5 long sessions, I was told the canal was "successfully done". only to find out by another dentist that one canal was not filled properly. I was going to crown the tooth and if that dentist had not checked the tooth I would have most likely had the tooth pulled out after some time. I called for a refund so that I could fix the tooth by another practice and they took more than a month to proceed with that, mind you, I was calling every now and then and felt like I was begging for my own money back. Once they finally did the refund it was a partial refund... I called back to ask why and they replied with it was for the anesthetic... and apparently, the anesthetic is not part of the treatment... I am so confused. This dental practice is not worth trusting especially if you are a person that is nervous about going to the dentist such as me.
