Friendly staff, efficient service and fresh fish cooked perfectly. A popular venue so prepare for a wait at busy times, but a good ticket system with text notification ensures prompt pickup.

Delicious Chinese takeaways, friendly and pleasant service. It was on closing time and we were welcomed in to put in an order as were others after us. This is fantastic service especially at closing time!

I ordered a Chinese takeaway a couple of weeks ago and was told it would take 20-25 minutes. I had to wait for an hour and a quarter! Although nearly all the customers wore masks, one Chinese lad helping behind the counter and the Chinese male cook didn't seem to feel the need, in spite of Covid regulations. The cook had his under his chin! The food was reasonably priced but of poor quality. The "combination fried rice" had a few shrimps, egg, peas and carrot, but no meat. The chicken and cashew nuts had some pieces of chicken diced up to about the size of peas. Most eating places in Te Anau were closed with few tourists about, but if you are in the area I suggest you avoid this place.

Really nice food and such a good price! We got the chicken fried rice which was very fresh and quality tasting, as well as a chicken burger which exceeded expectations. Very good quality chicken patties and great flavours. Really impressed for what was supposed to be just a quick stop over dinner.

As a fan of onion rings, I can say that this shop has the some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Light and fluffy batter that's not too greasy encasing thick slices of onion that don't get pulled out of the batter when you bite into them. Perfection. I came here several times just for the onion rings. The blue cod and hoki were also fantastic. I didn't really care much for the chips as I found them too dry. I also had the Fujian fried rice and squid fried rice; both were excellent and authentic. The ice cream scoops are also cheap. This place is one of the one of the cheaper places to eat in Te Anau in general.

Ordered fish and chips and an ice cream. The ice cream was small and limited flavours. The chips were over cooked, mussels tasted like vinegar and were small and dry, the crab stick tasted old but at least the fish was good. Not worth the $30 I spent, wouldn’t go back and would go get Italian instead.

Good fish and chip shop in Te Anau. Pretty busy with locals which is always a good sign, even if our order did take a while. Chips were crispy and fish was fresh. Good stuff

Good fish and chips, fried rice was a little small and the rice wasn't really fried looking but tasted great. Order early as they get really busy and you could wait for up to an hour like we did. But they were doing their best. They are very popular! Try ringing ahead.
