Excellent Walk. I think it’s about 13 km’s long. You can start and stop wherever you like. It’s so comfortable. Watching the river, rowers, runners, birds, ducks, all the little things they’ve put everywhere. Little Gardens, the old ‘Munted Bridge’, plenty of Fruit trees around too (in Summer months). It’s so calm and easy to get to!! Give it a go - Try something new New Zealand ? P.S. Take your Dog !!!

Great walk and scenery. Ideal for a family day out walking, jogging, cycling or just stopping for a break. Lots of ducks, swans and other birds to feed and enjoy nature at its best with willow trees sweeping the waters edge. The river side adding a great photo opportunity or kayaking if have one. Overall I would recommend it for if nothing else then at least to take a break from your daily routine and just enjoy nature.

Fun few hours, 2 adults with 2 kids 6 & 10. Lots of places to stop and explore. Had a picnic in what would have been someone's front lawn. Spied some fejoa trees to go back too in about 4-6 weeks (if that's allowed of course ?). Some new bridges being built along the trail. Wide enough in most places to be able to relax knowing the kids don't need to be 'strictly' to the left.
