What a lovely hidden gem. We stumbled upon it while viewing Maps on our walk out in Cambridge. We only went into town for a few hours, so couldn't take advantage of the lovely picnic area. It is beautiful, with a few types of birds and lots of hatchlings around. Great sense of community, as we were pulled into various conversations by locals, out for fresh air and exercise with and without their dogs.

A good 30 min stroll around the lake very pleasant, full of ducks and wild foul. Regulary used by jogers, lots of path ways leading up to the top as the lake is a sunken lake with good wide gravel pathways all around There is a small car park at lake level. The lake is surrounded by trees and cover from the sun, with a large picnic area with public toilets

Pleasant stroll around the lake on a sunny summer's day. Plenty of shade on one side (the most scenic route), not so much on the other. Took HEAPS of photos of surrounding trees, birdlife and lake. Great water feature (concrete flow form) cascading down the hill among the trees with a pathway/viewing platforms up to the top beside it. Toilets at roadside end near the carpark. Would be nice if some were at the other end also, just in case ? Several pathways lead up to the top as well on both sides if you're feeling energetic, otherwise it's a mostly wide flat gravel pathway all around. Quite a few people around, but not crowded which was great for the photo stops. Definitely recommend, whether for a quick stop, a power walk or run, a leisurely stroll for an hour or two, or even a picnic. Been here many times before, quite some time ago. So glad I've just been again ??????

Lots of space with a free BBQ on site. However, lack places to sit so bring your own mat. May be better during summer as when grounds are moist or wet, it can be slippery. Also, plenty mossies or insects may like your blood! ?

Great park for walks with the kids, lots of different paths to explore. Conveniently located in the center of Cambridge and plenty of space for a picnic. The kids loved water fall and all the wildlife.
