★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attended a few Maori classes , we would meet here before going with our kaiakos. Absolutely loved and enjoyed every session. You get the chance to participate in a powhiri, you learn waiatas and the meaning behind the carvings in the marae. After every powhiri and before class you have afternoon tea and a snack. You really do feel welcomed. I highly recommend attending classes the teachers are amazing and it's honestly a good experience :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful and mind blowing experience, really thank you to the staff that welcomed us into the house - the heart of the marae here shows an amazing story and history of the maori community, the craftsmanship is the most stunning work of art i have ever seen in a marae.
