★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tony Cowbourne Geotect Cat 1 Engineer did not get a building concent from the WBOP council prior to his friend David Rowlands (Stretch) starting work on a retaining wall in Omokoroa. This has been a nightmare from day one. Now he is demanding an additional $42,000 (plus) for work carried out after he stopped working for me and also for his lawyers fees etc. Council now are issuing me 'Abatement Notices" for things I cannot change/fix with regards to the retaining wall due to Tony Cowbourn and my neighbour Graham and Kay Kirkbride refusing to fix their mess. The Kitkbrides have put their retaining wall on my section along with tons of soil and refuse to have it removed to allow me to reduce my wall to 1.5 metres thereby stopping the need for the code of compliance. The council are threatening me with being sued in court and I could end up in jail and thousands of dollars per week in fines for not complying with the Council (even through I am not able to do what they are requesting). I tried to talk to the Mayor but he works for the WBOP Council and said it was a conflict of interest. Graham and Kay Kirkbride and Colin Baskin and his partner demanded $10,000 to use their diveway. Originally it was $30,000. Even though their shared driveway was in terrible condition and also Graham and Kay Kirkbride used the driveway for their massive retaining wall. I have been told by Graham Kirkbride that they did not commission Tony Cowbourne to build the wall on their land or to put tonnes of soil on their property to reclaims meters of land which of course has increased the value of their property immensely and they did not pay for the wall. So i have to wonder who did pay for this.
P.S. TONY COWBOURNE DOES IS OWN PLANS, OVERSEAS HIS OWN WORK AND SIGNS HIS OWN WORK OFF AT THE COUNCIL.
Is this right??????
I have to wonder if others have had the same treatment from this person/company!!!!!
